With 26 years of experience in our pockets, the University College Dragon Boat Club is one of the oldest dragon boat clubs in the Greater Toronto Area. Our legacy began in November of 1998 when the four founders Senny Chung, Avery Arora, Andrea Hui and Chuck Wen submitted a tentative proposal to the UC Literacy and Athletic Society to start a club dedicated to the semi-obscure sport of dragon boating.
From the humble beginnings to the club in the present day, we continuously reinforce all of the elements that go into a high performance dragon boat crew. These elements include: having a strong training regimen, providing resources to further improve, fostering growth of the individual as well as the team, being adaptable with scheduling, being transparent with decisions, having a diverse member base, revealing the character in each individual and most importantly, being not only a collection of paddlers, but also a family of strong athletes.
Make friends, stay strong, and be a part of our family!
