Our trip to Hart House Farms boosted team bonding levels two-fold, with new memories being made from all corners of the farm. The people who arrived early in time for a dive took a small journey to the sauna, where they, for whatever reason, decided to warm themselves up in an already warm day…
The rest of the crew arrived later on throughout the weekend and ended up cozying up in the rooms and played a variety of games – this includes a few games of Telestrations, with dirty minds. Afterwards, Hart House Farms traditions were upheld, starting with an athlete-oriented meal – basically healthy foods – cooked by your very own lovely bunch. Obviously, clean-up duty was assigned to the lazy ones who sat around when the cooking happened. But no worries because we cook as a team and clean as a team!
Other traditions include some team pictures, a game of volleyball and the magical campfire thereafter, with an emphasis on fire. Marshmallows were lit, graham crackers were crunched, beers were drunk, and Wonderwall – by Oasis – was sung. We went ham on the drinks late at night of course.
And that was the Hart House Farms trip in 2016. We came in as a newly established team, and left as an even stronger family.
